Free GLB Viewer: Open a .glb File in Your Browser

A .glb is a whole 3D model in one file: the mesh, its materials, the textures and any animations, packed in glTF 2.0 binary form. Drop it here to check what it really contains before you send it on or put it on a website: spin it around, play each animation, look at the wireframe, and read the triangle count of every mesh. The file is read on your device and never leaves it.

How to use it

  1. 1

    Drop the .glb

Drag the file onto the box or click to pick it. A .gltf with its .bin and images, or a ZIP of them, opens here too.

  2. 2

    Turn it around

Drag to orbit, scroll or pinch to zoom, right-drag to pan. Wireframe shows how the mesh is built.

  3. 3

    Play animations

Each clip stored in the GLB is listed. Pick one to play, pause or loop it.

  4. 4

    Check the numbers

See triangles, vertices, meshes, materials, textures, bones, the size in metres and a list of every mesh.

What to know before you convert

  • Textures show only if they are packed inside the GLB. A GLB that points to outside image files needs them dropped with it, or a missing-texture warning is shown.
  • Draco and Meshopt compressed GLBs open. Very large files (hundreds of MB) can be slow on phones.
  • This page views the file. To change it, use GLB to STL, GLB to OBJ or GLB to FBX, or repaint it with the GLB texture generator.

What a GLB Viewer Shows You

A GLB can look fine in one app and broken in another. Viewing it here tells you what is really in the file: whether the textures are packed inside or missing, how many animation clips it carries and how long they run, how many triangles each part uses, and how big the model is in real units (glTF uses metres).

That is the quick check before you upload a model to a web page, an AR viewer, a game engine or a marketplace. A shoe that should be 0.3 m tall but shows 300 m was exported in the wrong units; a character with 2 million triangles will be slow on phones.

Does a GLB Include Textures?

Usually, yes. The point of GLB is that the images are stored inside the same file as the mesh, so one file carries everything. It is allowed, though, for a GLB to point to image files kept next to it. If this viewer lists missing textures, add those images together with the GLB, or ask for a GLB exported with textures embedded.

No textures at all? Paint new ones with the GLB texture generator, or read more in What is a GLB file?.

Frequently Asked Questions

Drop it on this page. It opens in the browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone, with no app or account.
Yes. Every animation clip in the file appears in a list with its length. Pick one to play it, pause it or loop it.
Either the textures were not packed into the GLB when it was exported, or the model never had any. A warning names any texture files the GLB expects but cannot find.
They read the same format. GLB is the one-file binary form of glTF, so this page also opens .gltf files with their .bin and image files.
No. The page reads the file and converts it inside your browser with the open-source three.js library. Nothing is sent to our servers, there is no account, and no credits are used. Closing the tab discards everything.
