Reskin a 3D Model with AISame mesh, new look: a theme set for one game asset
To reskin a 3D model with AI, drop your GLB, FBX, OBJ or STL below, tick up to six themes such as fire, red team, winter or legendary gold, and open each one in our AI 3D Texturing Studio. AI paints a new texture for every theme while the mesh, shape and UVs stay the same.

How should each theme be painted?
The studio paints a whole new texture on the same mesh. Run "Quick preview" first, then "Auto texture" views for full detail.

New skin on the Bear sample. Each button opens the studio in a new tab with the theme filled in. Download each skin's GLB from the studio, then open the next.
Fire
same object and shape, new fiery red, orange and yellow colour scheme and materials, glowing ember cracks and flame patterns
Opening the studio is free and nothing is painted until you choose. A Quick preview costs 2 credits, and each skin is its own set of credits. How it works
How it works
1
Drop one model and tick your themes
Drop a GLB, GLTF, FBX, OBJ or STL (or pick a sample), choose "New skin" or "Recolour my current design", and tick up to six themes. Each one becomes an "Open in the studio" button in your skin list.
2
Open a theme and preview it
Each button opens the studio in a new tab with your model, the theme prompt and the style filled in; nothing is painted yet. For a New skin press "Quick preview: 4 sides in 1 call" (2 credits), then "Auto texture" views for full detail. To recolour your own design, use "Select region" + "Paint the marked part", or "Paint this view".
3
Download it and open the next skin
Press "Download textured model (GLB)" (or "Texture only (PNG)"), tick the skin as done here, and open the next theme. Every skin is painted on the same mesh, so they swap in one for one.
One mesh, a whole theme set
Games often ship one asset in many looks: a red and a blue version for each team, a winter skin for a seasonal event, or common to legendary versions of the same item. These 3D asset variations share the mesh and the UV map, so only the texture changes. Pick a pack to start a set:
It is an AI repaint and results vary from run to run, so run "Quick preview" (2 credits) before Auto texture, and keep only the skins you like.
The shape and the UVs stay the same: no new geometry, no added spikes, horns or armour plates. Bumps, gems and glow are painted on as colour.
Rigs and animations: the studio’s "Download textured model (GLB)" writes plain meshes, so it does not keep a skeleton or animations. For a rigged model, choose "Keep my UVs", download "Texture only (PNG)" and apply it to your original rigged file; it fits because the UVs are the same.
Recolour my current design needs your texture to come in: a GLB, a GLTF with embedded images, or an FBX with an embedded texture, using its own UVs. OBJ opens without its texture and STL has none, so they get New skin only.
Recolouring is not a one-click Auto texture job. On a kept texture, Auto texture’s later views leave what is already painted alone, so use "Paint the marked part" or "Paint this view".
Only want new colours picked by hand? Change part colours for free with the 3D Model Color Changer: no AI, no credits.
A reskin keeps the model exactly as it is (the mesh, the shape and the UV map) and gives it a new texture. Games use reskins for team colours, seasonal and event versions, elemental variants and rarity tiers of the same asset, because one mesh can ship many looks.
No. The AI only paints the texture. The mesh, the polygon count and, with "Keep my UVs", your own UV layout stay the same, so every skin swaps in one for one. Spikes, gems or glow in a theme are painted on as colour, not modelled.
New skin paints a fresh full texture over the whole model: start with "Quick preview", then run "Auto texture" views. Recolour my current design opens your model with its own texture ("Start from my model’s texture" ticked) and changes the parts you choose with "Select region" + "Paint the marked part", or with "Paint this view". Recolour works for a textured GLB, GLTF or FBX only.
This page and opening the studio are free. A Quick preview or a single painted view costs 2 credits, Auto texture costs 2 credits per view, and each skin is its own set of credits. A view that fails to paint is refunded automatically, and the Heal and Paint brushes and Undo are free.
Tick up to six themes here. Each one gets its own "Open in the studio" button that opens a new tab, so this page stays as your checklist. Paint and download each skin’s GLB from the studio, tick it as done, then open the next.
Not in the downloaded GLB: the studio exports plain meshes without a skeleton or animations, and skinned parts are painted in their rest pose. Choose "Keep my UVs", download "Texture only (PNG)" and apply that texture to your original rigged model in your 3D app or game engine.
GLB, GLTF, FBX, OBJ and STL up to 60 MB. All of them can get a New skin. Recolour my current design needs a texture the studio can read: a GLB, a GLTF with embedded images, or an FBX with an embedded texture. OBJ opens without its texture and STL has none.
Yes. Type it in the "your own theme" box, for example "steampunk brass and copper", and add it to the skin list. It is kept to 139 characters so the full prompt fits the studio, and you can still edit the prompt in the studio before you paint.
