AI Block Texture Generator for Minecraft

This free texture generator for Minecraft makes the small pixel image a block uses in the game. Describe a block or upload a picture, and you get a true 16x16, 32x32 or 64x64 PNG, a 3D block preview, a pixel editor to fix it, and a Java Edition resource pack ZIP for the block you choose.

How to make a Minecraft block texture

  1. 1

    Describe or upload

Type a block idea like "mossy cobblestone" and press Generate (2 credits), or upload any picture for free.

  2. 2

    Turn it into pixels

Pick 16x16, 32x32 or 64x64 and how many colours to keep. "Seamless" makes the texture repeat with no visible edge.

  3. 3

    Fix and preview

Paint, fill or pick colours pixel by pixel. The 3D block and the 3x3 tile view update as you draw.

  4. 4

    Download

Choose which block to replace, then download the PNG or a ready resource pack ZIP with pack.mcmeta inside.

Block texture file names

Java Edition finds a block's texture by its file name in assets/minecraft/textures/block/. These blocks use one texture on all six sides, so a single PNG changes the whole block. The tool lists more, or type any other name.

Frequently Asked Questions

Pick the block to replace and press "Download pack ZIP". Put the ZIP in your .minecraft/resourcepacks folder (Options, Resource Packs, Open Pack Folder), then move the pack to Selected and press Done. The block now uses your texture in every world.
The pack is for Java Edition 1.21 to 26.3: its pack.mcmeta declares resource pack formats 34 to 97. Bedrock Edition packs use a different format (.mcpack) that this page does not make, but you can still use the PNG in a Bedrock pack you build yourself.
Uploading a picture, the pixel editor, the 3D preview and both downloads are free and need no account. Generating a texture from a text description uses our AI and costs 2 credits; if the AI fails, the credits are refunded.
16x16 matches the look of the default game. 32x32 and 64x64 are for higher-detail packs. Keep block textures square; Java Edition accepts any of these sizes. Fewer colours (8 to 16) give the classic pixel-art look.
