How to change the color of a 3D model

  1. 1

    Upload your model

Drop a GLB, GLTF, OBJ, FBX, STL or PLY file, or try a sample. It opens in the 3D viewer and never leaves your browser.

  2. 2

    Pick new colors

Choose a material and pick a color. For a textured model, tint the whole texture, or click a part of the model and recolor every spot of that color.

  3. 3

    Download a GLB

Download your recolored model as a GLB with the new colors and textures inside. Undo or Reset any time before you do.

Frequently Asked Questions

GLB, GLTF (single file), OBJ, FBX, STL and PLY, up to 60 MB. The recolored model downloads as a GLB, which Blender, Unity, Unreal, three.js and most viewers open.
The color is probably stored in a texture image, not in the material. Choose "Tint to color": it moves the whole texture to your color and keeps its shading and detail. "Flat color" removes the texture and uses one solid color instead.
If the part has its own material, pick that material in the list (or click the part on the model) and choose a color. If the whole model shares one texture, as most AI-generated models do, press "Pick a color on the model", click the part, then set the new color and the tolerance slider. Every spot of a similar color changes and keeps its shading.
Yes, it is free and needs no account. The recoloring runs in your browser, so your file is not uploaded to our server.
A GLB file with your new colors, in the same size and units as your upload. Recolored textures are saved inside it, and other maps such as normal maps are kept. Animations and vertex colors are not kept.
Yes. Press "Repaint it with AI" to open your model in our AI 3D Texturing Studio, describe the new look, and the AI paints it view by view. That part uses credits (2 per view) and needs an account.
