Free Stone Textures (Seamless, PBR)

A stone texture is a tileable image of a stone surface, used for walls, paths, floors and castles in 3D scenes, games and design. Below are free seamless stone textures (cobblestone, stone wall, white marble, slate tiles, sandstone blocks and flagstone paving) at 1024 px, each with colour, normal, height and roughness maps.

Using a stone texture

BlenderColour into Base Color, normal (Non-Color) through a Normal Map node into Normal, roughness (Non-Color) into Roughness. Height can drive a Displacement node.
UnityColour as Albedo/Base Map, normal with Texture Type set to Normal map (OpenGL). Roughness is stored inverted as smoothness in Unity, so invert it first.
Unreal EngineDownload the normal map in DirectX format. Colour to Base Color, normal to Normal, roughness to Roughness.
Godot / three.jsUse the OpenGL normal map. Set the texture to repeat and raise the UV scale to tile it over a large surface.

Stone texture FAQ

Yes. Free for personal and commercial projects. No attribution needed. You can download them without an account.
Yes. Every tile wraps on both sides, so it repeats with no visible seam. Use the tiling preview on this page to see it repeated 2, 3 or 4 times before you download.
The colour map (JPG, 1024 x 1024 px), plus a normal map (OpenGL or DirectX), a height map and a roughness map as PNG. The extra maps are made in your browser from the colour image, so they are a good approximation, not a laser scan.
With our own AI image model, then made seamless with a cross-fade step so the edges match. Each texture is checked for seams before it is published.
Add an Image Texture node with the colour map into Base Color of the Principled BSDF. Add the normal map (Color Space: Non-Color) through a Normal Map node into Normal, and the roughness map (Non-Color) into Roughness. Scale it with a Mapping node.
No. Polished marble is flat, so keep the normal strength low and the roughness low. Cobblestone, stone walls and flagstone look best with a strong normal map and a height map for displacement.
Yes. In the AI 3D Texturing Studio you describe the surface and the AI paints it straight onto your own 3D model (GLB, OBJ, FBX, STL). It uses credits; the downloads on this page are free.
